AchieveTexas in Action: Ensuring Success for Every Student, A Resource Guide for School Counselors.
Everything is bigger in Texas. AchieveTexas combines rigorous
academics with relevant career education to prepare Texas students to
compete and win in the global marketplace. The goal of AchieveTexas is to
prepare students and allow them to choose an education plan that is best
for their goals and talents.
AchieveTexas extends Tech Prep's relevant career preparation activities and focuses on lifelong learning for lifetime success. Students are encouraged to view learning as a process.
The Resource Guide for school counselors gives an overview of essential AchieveTexas information, how to implement Texas Achievement Plans (TAPs), enhance career guidance, and answer questions. For a copy of the Counselor's Guide, select the guide.

Work

model, developed by the Southern Regional Education Board, High
Schools That Work (HSTW), emphasizes 10 key practices for

This organization
disseminates information on the 16 federally defined career
clusters. It has published brochures as well as knowledge and

– 16 Framework that aligns student planning and programs of study to
