AchieveTexas Surveys for Validation of College and Career Readiness Crosswalks

The AchieveTexas College and Career Initiative has been working this past year with Expert Panel groups to draft crosswalks for each career cluster that highlight the connections between Career and Technical Education (CTE) Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the adopted College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS).The teams of experts used a consensus building approach to identify the initial connections. The surveys below will validate the proposed connections. This is your opportunity to review and validate the work of the expert panels.

The CCRS focuses on standards in five areas: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Cross-Disciplinary. Integration of the CCRS is essential in the delivery of any CTE course.

Surveys should be completed by CTE Professionals (classroom teachers, counselors and administrators) and stakeholders including local administration, core teachers, parents, business and industry partners, and postsecondary partners. Participation is anonymous and responses are confidential.

Please forward the link to this page to any interested partners. Surveys will be posted by career cluster as the project progresses. Visit the website frequently for new validation surveys. We thank you for your time and participation!
